Piezo Rhinoplasty

The nose is a dynamic skeletal (bone and cartilage) organ consisting of skin and membranous support tissues. Nose aesthetics are surgical procedures performed by specialist physicians in order to eliminate deformities in the cartilage of the nose and / or the structures that form the nose and asymmetry deformities.

The purpose of this surgical nasal aesthetics procedure, which is called rhinoplasty, is to correct deformities of the nose. It is often accompanied by corrective (deviation) surgery of bone / cartilage curvatures that obstruct breathing.

The most important step of nose aesthetics is the shaping of the bones. If a proper bone shaping is not done, problems will occur in the nose in the long term.

During the process of shaping these bones, tunnels are formed inside the nose in the classical surgery technique. We would try to break the bones regularly in an area that we could not see by inserting bone chisels through this tunnel. Of course, the weakened and broken bone that was broken at irregular points could heal irregularly during the healing period.

With the development of technology in recent years, we have started to use special instruments in nose aesthetics.

In this technique, as I describe it, after lifting the nasal skin, the bone tissue is widely exposed by entering under the membrane where the vein and nerve layer are located. Minimal procedures are performed on the bones with the ultrasonic bone cutter, namely piezo. Thus, the part of the bones with , the part that is responsible for the crookedness can be seen and only the bone is shaped without damaging the blood vessels, soft tissues and nerves.

This device works with special vibrations and we can intervene in every part of the nose with nozzles that are chosen according to the intervention area. The tool only works on bone tissue and stops when it touches soft tissues. Recovery is faster because bone is not broken. Bruising, swelling and pain are negligent. We can minimize long-term problems experienced during the recovery period.
